The Unbiased Qur'an Course

How do we ensure objectivity?

Arabic + Nonpartisanism + Coherency

#1: Arabic

Translations and Commentaries of the Qur'an, no matter how greatly written, are still man-made products. By learning the Arabic of the Qur'an, you will have the ability to connect directly with Divine Revelation and verify anything anyone (including myself) says about Islam. Allah will ask you how seriously you took His book.

#2: Nonpartisanism

Philosophical Groupings, no matter how amazing sounding, are man-made products. By freeing ourselves from all labels, such as Sunni, Shi'i, Salafi, Sufi, Deobandi, Barelvi, Ahmediyya, etc., we make sure that we approach the Qur'an with no affiliation to any post-prophetic group or person. This ensures that we seek the Truth for the sake of seeking the Truth, with no filtration of any sort. We treat the word "Muslim" as "surrendering to the creator", rather than an identity. By doing so, we become like Abraham.

#3: Coherency

An incoherent and disconnected reading of the Qur'an is academically dishonest. By approaching the Qur'an from the start to the end, in a holistic manner, we understand who Allah is, and what His expectations are. We also understand The Prophet, his roles, and his expectations. This academically honest reading of the Qur'an prevents us from injecting our biases into the Qur'an.

"I am so so so thankful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of Natadarrab and experience the greatness it has to offer. The drive and determination from faculty members such as Nabeel inspired me to achieve above excellence in my academia. There was never a time I felt down or disappointed when I did not do well on a assignment. Instead, my teacher helped me understand the concept so that I could achieve nothing but excellence in the course. The course itself is organized beautifully and not difficult to follow through at all. In fact, the way of teaching and the assignments are far by the best methods of teaching I have experienced being a college student. "

- Fatema A. [California] During Week 2

Taught By Nabeel Khan

After having completed my memorization of the Qur'an in 2011, I embarked on a journey to uncover the guidance found in this Book. My Arabic+Qur'anic education consisted of:

  • IQRA Hifdh Program (Under Mufti Muddassir Oovais, USA)
  • Bayyinah Institute (Under Sh. AbdulNasir Jangda, USA)
  • Shariah Program (Under Mufti Yusuf Mullan, Canada)
  • Urooq (Under Mufti Liaquat Zaman, UK)
  • Cambridge Islamic College (Under Sh. Akram Nadwi, UK)

However, after all my time in learning deep Islamic Sciences, all of my most important questions about life were answered by the Qur'an. The biggest challenge then became to start teaching the Qur'an in a non-bias and productive way.

  • "What makes this the best Qur'anic Arabic course out there?"

    1. The course revolves around your personality and God-given talents, not the other way around.

  • "Why are you so passionate about teaching this? And Why are you so nice?"

    1. I've seen a lot of people in my life hurt, used, and abused by "Islamic Studies"
    2. After going through the Qur'an, I saw that the Qur'anic content was vastly different than what was being taught in many Islamic Conferences and Lectures.
    3. I need to give people acess to the Qur'an so that they can make unbiased decisions on their own.
  • "Are there any requirements to take this course?"

    The requirements are:

    • You must be fluent in English
    • You must be able to recite the Qur'an with Ease. (Tajweed is highly recommended)
    • You must have a working computer and stable internet.
    • You must be over the age of 16.
  • "What are the timings for the classes?"

The Natadarrab™ Intensive is a concept-based course. Meaning, it's extremely flexible if you get the work done. My job is to make sure that all the concepts are installed in your head by any means necessary. This is done through interactive quizzes, tutorials, videos, etc.

However, I realize that sometimes a live connection between the student and the teacher are extremely necessary.
For this, I have a ticketing system by which you can ask questions, and I will personally answer.

  • "What if I fail?"

Failure is an important part of learning. Infact, failure sometimes teaches more than success itself. As your coach, my job will be to make sure that you fail responsibly. Failing itself is an art, and I make sure you master it.

  • "How long do I have access to the course?"

You have access to the Natadarrab™ platform for as long as your subscription is active.

  • "Will I get free updates?"

Yes! The Natadarrab library will continue to grow forever, inshaAllah! And you will have access to all it's research functionalities throughout your subscription.

  • "Why do you charge money?!"

Actually Natadarrab isn't my full-time job. And I would never want it to be. The cost helps content-creation and is a compensation for the time I give. If someone cannot afford, then you will NOT be turned away.

"Why should I trust you?"

Lol wut? This isn't about me. To access the Qur'an you just need to know the things mentioned in the curriculum above. I just facilitate those things for you.

I belong to no organization or group. I answer only to Allah. This allows me to change my mind easily once you prove your point starting from the Qur'an. Boom bam bop botta bot bomp pow!
